Condom maker buys podcast ads

Condom maker Durex, looking for a medium to reach young adults and not have to worry about FCC issues (according to an AdAge article), has purchased 'product placement' advertising on 'The Dawn and Drew Show,' a podcast.

The ads are not typical radio 'spots' -- Durex is paying the show's stars to talk about the condoms as part of the show's content. Ted Conley, vice president of consumer marketing for Durex, says he thinks 'radio, integration into online gaming and emerging media like podcasts make more sense,' for his product right now than TV advertising.

Whatever it takes to get people to use them... Let's promote circumvasectomies (let the man apply for fatherhood once it is determined they can provide food, clothing, shelter AND education)for pregnancy prevention and condoms for safe sex.

Maybe start advertising that SEX IS NOT A BASIC NEED,
it could possibly cut down on rapes and feelings of inadequacy.

And another thing... I thought of something called "Intellectual Orgasms" and bought the domain name IntelletualOrgasms.com

Before I defined the term, I did a search, to see if anyone else feels as I do on the subject.

A definition surfaced, and since I couldn't have said it any better than this (guy), I just emailed him asking if I could forward the URL there.

Check it out!
