Twitter and the Recession
February 4, 2009 – 7:12 pmI found an interesting post today on the The Nieman Journalism Lab about his take on the birth of Twitter (which had its origins in a company called Odeo). The post focus is a comparison of the Twitter entreprenurial spirit and what is happening in Newspapers today.
I think you can extend that focus to how companies are reacting to the recession. I think its worth taking a look at what how Twitter grew out of a failing Odeo. Instead of sizing down they focused on product development and looked for new opportunities. Maybe its an ideal things are tough but thinking outside the box maybe a way to get through the scary times ahead.
